Calendar Submission Policy
The
Community Event Calendar is a service
provided to the community through a partnership between the C.K.C.I.P.A.,
Calendar Sponsors, and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. This service is
open to any organization within the community wishing to promote/plan a
non-commercial activity, event or service. The following guidelines apply.

Postings are restricted to events
located within the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. Events are defined as
something that happens at a given and time. Events submitted that
are to be outside of the Municipality will be considered if they are sponsored
by a Chatham-Kent based organization and/or are relevant to the citizens of
Chatham-Kent.

Submissions for registrations
of events will not be considered as they do not fall under the definition of
an event.
Postings must be non-commercial
in nature.

Fund raising events will be
posted as long as no specific products, goods or services, or their prices are
mentioned.

Event Title is limited to 25
characters.

Event postings must include the
sponsoring organization, time, location, contact phone number
and a valid e-mail address. If there
is a fee involved, that should be included.

The posting may not be used to
advertise or promote the sale of products or services, including
advertisements for or endorsement of, candidates for public office.
Description or praise of a product, or service which encourages purchase is
not permitted.

Postings may NOT include material
considered to be obscene or profane.

Postings may NOT be used to
slander or libel any individual or group.

No posting that discriminates
against any individual or group, or promotes a service or event not open to
the general public will be posted.

to refuse any posting or edit any posting to fit these guidelines, but not as
to change the overall content of the posting.
